"After licking their wounds from the battle to save the Mosswood Harvest Festival, the party decides to investigate the now vacant Iron Church to both look for clues and pick up their payment promised by the Constable. A search of the Bishop's quarters yields no obvious clues as to any greater intent he may have had, but an investigation of the strange crystal apparatus hidden beneath the church turns bloody. Finding two party members murdered and a third, the culprit, infested, they do battle to prevent him from tampering with the device. Backed into a corner, the Worm That Walks takes its own life to complete its tinkering. Ultimately triggering a shock-wave and an upsurge of energy which radiates up towards the church, the party is left wondering on the state of the village above as they make their way back up..."
