Teens and Finances

Sheryl Dorsey, Certified Public Accountant and author, will lead a workshop for teens and their parents on financial literacy at Willingboro Public Library on Mon., Oct. 27 at 6:30 p.m. Registration begins on Oct. 13 for this free program which is open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.

Ms. Dorsey is the author of Money Management for Teen$. Two lucky attendees will win copies of her book; others may purchase it for signing. She will cover topics such as the fundamental rules of personal finance, saving for a car, saving for and financing college, managing a checking or saving account, investing, and how to stay of out of credit card debt.

A master's degree graduate of Rutgers University, Ms. Dorsey has over twenty years of experience in taxation, auditing, and accounting services to businesses and individuals. She founded the Black $treet Teen Investment Club and offers money management workshops and financial camps for teen organizations and groups.
