Meet cookbook author Maria Liberati and sample her cooking at Willingboro Public Library on Mon., June 15 at 7 p.m. Ms. Liberati's book The Basic Art of Italian Cooking will be available for purchase and signing. Registration begins June 1 for this free program, open to the public.

Maria Liberati is a former international model whose family owned a vineyard and bakery in the mountains of central Italy. She received her formal culinary training there, developing cooking programs at Italian vineyards and organic farms. Ms. Liberati now runs her own cooking school in the Umbria region. She has been featured in such publications as Healthy Cooking and Cooking Light. "My approach to food and cooking is savvy and simplistic," she says. "I call it a healthy, ‘shabby chic' style."
