Children’s Programs
Tiny Tots Story Time
Wed., Apr. 3, 10, 17, 10:30 am. Bring children ages 15 months to 4 years to interact with stories, learn songs, play games and enjoy socializing. Playtime and snacks will follow for all attendees. Siblings welcome!
Get Crafty with Miss Nancy
Thurs., Apr. 4, 4 pm. Students in grades Pre-K-3 will enjoy arts and crafts in the Children’s Room.
Legos @ the Library
Thurs., Apr. 11, 25, 4 pm. Budding engineers in grades Pre-K-3, use your imagination to build your own creations – the sky is the limit!
DEAR Day – Drop Everything and Read!
Thurs., Apr. 11, 7 pm. Children in grades Pre-K-3, enjoy an evening of reading, music, movement, crafts and snacks. Siblings welcome.
Read to a Dog
Thurs., Apr. 18, 6 pm. Readers of all ages are invited to come in and sit with or read to Brutus the therapy dog (and his human, Karen).
Tiny Tots Bust a Move
Weds., Apr. 24, 11 am. Parents bring your toddlers ages 15 months-4 years to the library and enjoy singing songs, playing rhythmic instruments and dancing! Light refreshments served
Children’s Book Week 100th Anniversary – Kid’s Choice
Mon. – Sat., Apr. 29 – May 5, During Library Hours. Celebrate the 100th Anniversary of Children’s Book Week! Kids in grades K – 6, the Willingboro Public Library cares about what books you love to read! Tell us your favorites and you could win a prize in our random drawing!
Tween Programs
Finger Knitting
Wed., Apr. 3, 4 pm. Tweens in grades 4-6, learn how to knit using just your fingers and yarn – no pointy needles necessary!!!
Make & Take Wednesdays
Wed., Apr. 17, 4 pm. Kids in grades 4-6, take a break from homework and create a fun craft to keep or give away.
Mother/Daughter Book Club
Weds., Apr. 17, 6 pm. Mothers and daughters (grades 4-8) explore stories together and independently at the library’s book club! Light refreshments served.
Teen Programs
Free Tutoring @ Your Library
Wed., Apr. 3, 10, 17. Willingboro High School honor students will tutor students in elementary and middle school. Space is limited and registration is required.
Sigma Club Youth Career Fair
Sat., Apr. 6, 12 pm. Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity is hosting a job fair where young adults can meet black professionals from a variety of industries and discuss educational and career opportunities. Light Refreshments served.
Get Runway Ready!
Weds., Apr. 17, 6 pm. Ediomi Utuk, Willingboro resident and fashion and style enthusiast and professional photographer will lead this two-part runway workshop for teens interested in modeling.
Cover2Cover High School Book Club
Mon., Apr. 29, 2:15 pm. Get together with friends and talk about the latest great reads for teens – light refreshments will be served. This program will be held in the Willingboro High School’s MVP Room; all area high school students are welcome to attend.
Family Programs
The Early Bird Gets the Scholarship
Sat., Apr. 27, 2 pm. Hold on to Education Foundation will teach teens and parents how to gain an edge when applying for college scholarships and financing.
Meet the Children’s Author Halimah Bashir
Sat., Apr. 27, 3 pm. Meet Halimah Bashir, author of Paradise Is Oh So Nice. Signed books will be available for purchase. Light refreshments will be served.
