Program: Apply for Your Passport at the Library

The Burlington County Clerk's office will process your passport application while you wait. Payment by check or money order only.

 

Program: Stagger Lee Booker T and Me

Day, Date & Time: Tues., Sept. 8, 7 p.m.

Registration: Begins Aug. 25

Willingboro resident and urban fiction author Todd Evans will read from his new book,  Stagger Lee Booker T and Me. Hear how Stagger Lee, a supernatural superhero from way back in the day, and his ancient wife Momma Tu Tu clean up the hood in the 1980s. Copies of the book will be available for purchase and signing, and refreshments will be served.

 

Program: Resume Writing Workshop

Ready to go back to work, or to find a better job? Improve your skills and be ready for an interview. The two-hour session will help you with the basics of being a great interviewee. A good interview is another factor that helps you get a job.

 

Program: Writing Effective Reports

A workshop focusing on effective strategies for report writing, especially useful for people who regularly write reports as part of their job duties.

 

Program: Book Discussion - The House at Sugar Beach by Helene Cooper

Day, Date & Time: Thurs., Sept 17, 7:30 p.m.

Registration: Begins Sept 1

Join us as we talk about Helene Cooper's journey back to Liberia "in search of her lost African Childhood". To understand what happened in Liberia is to understand what has happened in much of Africa, and Cooper tells it not like a seasoned journalist, which she is, but from her own experience.

 

Program: Writing Effective Essays

Day, Date & Time: Thurs., Sept. 24, 6 p.m.

Registration: Begins Sept. 1

This workshop will review the elements of an effective 500 word essay. All are welcome, especially students who plan on writing a college entrance essay.
