Exhibit: Watercolors of Maureen Gass

An exhibition of watercolors featuring floral and still life works using the wet-n-wet technique.  Ms. Gass' dynamic watercolors capture emotion, essence and energy.

Exhibit Displayed: Mar. 4-26

Children's Programs

Program: Sunday Book Party

Registration: Begins Feb. 3

Celebrate Dr. Seuss' Birthday. Enjoy listening to Dr. Seuss stories and have fun participating in a "Cat in the Hat" scavenger hunt. Win "Cat in the Hat" prizes."Cat in the Hat" refreshments will be served.

Program: Get Caught Reading @ Your Library

Days, Dates, & Times: Every Monday in March

Grades: Pre-K - 6

Registration: Not required

Get caught reading quietly every Monday in March and receive a prize for good library manners!


Program: Tiny Tots Story Time Circle

Day, Dates, & Time: Wed., Mar. 5, 12, 19 & 26, 10:30 a.m.

Ages: 18 mos. - 4

Registration: Begins Feb. 1

Gather at the library for story time and listen as you are read to with friends. "Little readers" will also enjoy learning finger plays, munching on snacks and using parent interactive toys in the reading area after story time.


Program: Get Crafty @ the WPL Library

Day, Date & Time: Sat., Mar. 8, 2 p.m.

Ages: 8-12

Registration: Begins Feb. 9

Each child will have an opportunity to make several crafts from a selection of items. They will enjoy an afternoon of craft making, listening to a story and having a snack.


Program: March Madness Basketball Bingo

Day, Date, & Time: Thurs., Mar. 13, 7 p.m.

Grades: 2 - 6

Registration: Begins Feb. 1

You have a "shot" at winning basketballs and NBA books at the library! Bring a few friends to challenge and snack with!


Program: Famous Firsts by American Women Quiz- Test Your Knowledge

Days, Dates & Times: March 1-23, all day

All ages

Registration: Not required

Can you answer any of the ten questions about American Women who were the first to do something important? There is a prize involved. Test your knowledge. Question sheets are available on the Information shelf in the Children's Room. They can be submitted in the large white box on the red cart. Winners will be notified March 25. Prizes handed out March 28.


Program: Movie Madness Marathon Monday

Day, Date & Time: Mon., Mar. 24, 10:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

All ages

Registration: Begins Feb. 25

The Children's Department is going mad, movie mad. Join us any time between 10:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. to watch movies and eat popcorn and more. Movie list, times, and age appropriateness will be available.


Program: Snack Attack!!

Day, Date & Time: Wed., Mar. 26, 2 p.m.

Ages 6-12 (children under the age of 10 should be accompanied by an adult)

Registration: Begins Feb. 27

Nutritious snacks you can make! Try out these recipes at the library and at home. You will be able to take a small recipe booklet with you to try at home.

Teen Programs

Program: Newbery Book Club

Day, Date & Time: Wed., Mar. 12, 3:30 p.m.

Grades: 6-8

Registration: Ongoing

Discuss the latest and coolest books for young teens over refreshments.  Participants receive discuss books free every month.  Students in Willingboro public schools receive extra credit for attending!


Program: Willingboro SET (Teen Advisory Group)

Day, Date & Time: Thurs., Mar. 20, 3:30 p.m. 

Grades: 7-12

Registration: Not required

Calling all teens!!!  Let your voice be heard; we need your input on what's hot and what's not at the library.  Meet with the Young Adult Librarian and let us know what you want; after all, it's your library!! Light refreshments will be served.


Program: Teen Book Club

Day, Date & Time: Mon., Mar. 10, 3:00 p.m. 

Grades: 9-12

Registration: Not required

Read any good books lately?  Have a book that you just can't put down?  Get together with friends and fellow readers to talk about your favorite books!  This program will be held in Willingboro High School's MVP Room.  All area high school students are welcome to attend. Light refreshments will be served.

Program: Dance, Dance Revolution Tournament

Day, Date & Time: Thurs., Mar. 27, 1:30 p.m. 

Grades: 7-12

Registration: Not required

It's Spring Break, so why not take a break at the library and show off your dance moves!  Think you've got what it takes to out-dance your friends?  Enter the DDR tournament and bust a move for fun and prizes! Light refreshments will be served.


Adult Programs

Program: Avoiding Common Gardening Mistakes

Day, Date & Time: Tues., Mar. 11, 7 p.m.

Need help with your garden or lawn? You are not alone! Judy Janas of the Burlington County Master Gardeners will speak about mistakes people make in their lawns and gardens, and answer your questions. Light refreshments will be served.  


Program: You Are Not Your Diagnosis

Day, Date & Time: Tues., Mar. 25, 7 p.m.

Registration: Begins Feb. 21

Dr. Eric Stofman will discuss his book, You are not your Diagnosis... and other Lessons I learned from my Father, a handbook for those seeking wellness, abundance, and empowerment for themselves, their family, and their world. Dr. Stofman is a chiropractor in Cherry Hill. Light refreshments will be served.


Computer Classes

Program: Photo Editing/Adobe Photo Shop Elements

You've taken the pictures, they're stored in your digital camera and your computer, now what?  Learn how to edit, enhance, crop, and make the most of your precious memories.


Program: Basic Computing

Days, Dates & Times: Weds. & Thurs., 10 a.m.- noon or 1 p.m.-3 p.m.;   March 5, 6, 12, 13, 19, 20, 26, & 27. 

Registration:  Begins two weeks before the first class of the month.

Join this class to learn basic concepts in MS Windows, MS Word, and desktop publishing.


Program: Basic Computing - Condensed Evening Class

Day, Dates & Time: Thurs., Mar.  6, 13, 20 & 27, 6-8 p.m.  

Registration:  Begins two weeks before the first class of the month.

A brief, gentle introduction to the use of personal computers.


Friends of the Library

The spring book sale will be held on Mar. 28 from 1-4 p.m. and Mar. 29 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. in the library basement.
