Youth Achievers Science and Math Projects
Experience the hard work, ingenuity, and winning projects of the area’s best and brightest in engineering, the sciences and math. Exhibit Displayed: January 4 – 30. Meet the Young Scientists: Sat., Jan. 12, 2 pm. Light Refreshments served.
Children’s Programs
Tiny Tots Story Time
Wed., Jan. 2, 9 & 16, 10:30 am. Parents bring your toddlers ages 15 momths-5 years to the library and listen to stories and learn finger plays with your little one. Enjoy interactive toys and snacks in the library’s meeting room after story time.
Legos @ the Library
Thurs., Jan. 3, 17, 4 pm. Budding engineers in grades K through 3, use your imagination to build your own creations – the sky is the limit!
Free Tutoring @ Your Library
Wed., Jan. 9, 16, 23 & 30, 6 pm. Willingboro High School honor students will tutor students in elementary and middle school. Space is limited and registration is required.
Snack and Study
Thurs., Jan. 10, 24, 3:30-5 pm. Unpack your book bag and grab a healthy snack! Focus on your homework as we provide an afterschool treat to children in grades Pre-K-6th.
Read to a Dog
Thurs., Jan. 17, 6 pm. Readers of all ages are welcome to come in and get to know our furry therapy dogs.
It’s a New Year Party
Wed., Jan. 23, 11 am. Toddlers ages 15 momths-5 years are invited for a fun time of music, movement, crafts, snacks, and a story! Siblings welcome.
Stuffed Animal Sleep Over
Thurs., Jan. 31, 7 pm. Children ages 2– 8 years are invited to come to the library and enjoy a pajama story time. Kids, wear your jammies and bring your favorite stuffed animal friend for a stuffed animal sleepover. Crafts, songs, stories, snacks and fun will be provided.
Tween Programs
Sixth Annual Youth Art Contest Call for Entries
Jan. – Mar., All Day. Art projects will be accepted from January 2 through March 15 for entry in our sixth annual art contest. Students in 5th and 6th grade should drop off their entries in the Children’s Room.
Make & Take Wednesdays
Wed., Jan. 9 and 30, 3:30 pm. Kids in grades 4-6, take a break from homework and create a fun craft to keep or give away.
Mother/Daughter Book Club
Wed., Jan. 16, 6 pm. Mothers and daughters (grades 4-8) can explore stories together, independently and at the library’s book club! Light refreshments will be served.
Teen Programs

Leaders Save Lives Blood Drive
Tues., Jan. 8, 2:30 pm – 7:30 pm. Willingboro teen Arianna Davis is coordinating this blood drive; walk-ins welcome, but appointments are encouraged.
Cover2Cover High School Book Club
Mon., Jan. 28, 2:15 pm. Get together with friends and talk about the latest great read for teens – light refreshments will be served. This program will be held in the Willing High School’s MVP Room; all area high school students are welcome to attend.
Family Programs
New Year, New Me: Opioid Addiction Free. A Survivor’s Story of Freedom of Addiction
Mon., Jan. 7, 7 pm. Willingboro resident Chekesha Ellis will share her story of addiction, hitting rock bottom, and recovering from this deadly epidemic. Special guest: Fall Township Police Officer John Yeager.

Meet the Author – Mala Esperanza
Thurs., Jan. 3, 6:30 pm. Mala Esperanza, former Willingboro resident and educator, will read from and sign her book Criminal Target. Light refreshments will be served.
Book Club Café!
Wed., Jan. 9, 10:30 am. Come share your good reads, or just find out what to read - we can’t keep a good book to ourselves. No registration required and brunch served.
Parkinson’s Disease Lecture
Wed., Jan. 9, 1:30 pm. Get information for living with Parkinson’s disease from experts, with updates from the Burlington County Friends of PD. Sign up any time at the Reference Desk.
Create a Vision Board
Thurs., Jan. 10, 6:30 pm. Visualization is a powerful tool to making how you want to feel come to life. Bring your goals and we will provide the materials and refreshment to help you create your personal VISION BOARD using magazines and crafts.
Sewing w/MK Designs
Mon., Jan. 14, 6:30 pm. Learn to make your own DIY gifts; items such as pillow cases, wrist bags, tote bags, mittens, scarves and other such items. No registration required. Come learn to sew @ the library.
Family History with Ancestry.com
Tues., Jan. 15, 6:30 pm. Take advantage of the library’s subscription to Ancestry.com to explore your family history. Register at the Reference Desk any time.
Beginner ESL Classes

Sojourner Group
Wed., Jan. 16, 10:30 am. Join us on the third Wednesday of every month to discuss selected articles, issues and topics that affect us daily.
English Conversation Classes

Qigong for Everyone
Thurs., Jan. 17, noon. Master Kim of the National Karate Institute in Moorestown will lead us in gentle yet vigorous exercise, and share his knowledge of traditional Chinese medicine. Register at the Reference Desk any time.

African Heritage Film Festival

Willingboro Public Library and Links Inc. Rancocas Valley Chapter will show an African Heritage documentary and hold discussion on the 3rd Thursday of the month. Light refreshments will be served.

Free Blood Pressure and Blood Sugar Screening

Nurse Peggy from Lourdes Medical Center will be at the Willingboro Public Library for two hours of free blood pressure and blood sugar screening. Registration is not required.

PC Basics
Mon., Jan. 14, 10 am. This two-hour session introduces students to PCs and the Windows 7 operating system. Register at the Reference Desk starting two weeks before each class.
Microsoft Word 2013
