Hughes has worked in pharmaceutical marketing for 20 years with Fortune 500 companies, and is an adjunct professor at Camden County College. She grew up in rural Africa and immigrated to the United States in the late 1980s where she received a B.S. in business management from Rutgers University and an M.B.A. in Marketing from LaSalle University. She now resides in Sicklerville, NJ.
