Letter to Parents
The library has encountered difficulties pertaining particularly to use of the facility by some middle and high school students. Recently, the hours immediately after school dismissal and into the evening have seen a large number of youth who are behaving in a disruptive manner. This behavior is unacceptable and causes other library users distraction as they attempt to legitimately use the facility.
The Library Board of Trustees, Library Staff and Township Officials hereby request that parents and guardians immediately educate their children in the proper use of a library. Any child that violates the behaviors outlined in the Rules of Library Conduct will become subject to police authority. Parents or guardians will be required to negotiate with the police department for custody of the child.
