We added evening Summer Reading Club meetings for working families.
We won a prestigious grant from the NJ Council for the Humanities to hold an NJ350 program on “Black Suburbanization in New Jersey” in October.
We won the New Jersey State Library’s 2014 Multicultural Programming Award for the 2013-4 series “African Immigrants in NJ: A Celebration.”
We held the first African Cultural Festival, attended by over 300.
We had our best Black History Month ever, with over 500 participating in library events.
The second annual Town Center Day, attended by 1000 people in 2013, is on track for another successful event on August 9.
The 4th Annual Del Payne Memorial 5K is on track to raise money for the library on Sept. 27.
