Celebrate National Library Week with a full slate of programs for adults, teens, and kids. Prizes, surprises, and giveaways all week.  

National Library Week

Program: Willingboro Writes!

Day, Date & Time: Sat., Apr. 12, 12-3 p.m.

Registration: Begins Apr. 1

Attention aspiring authors! Join published Willingboro residents for lunch and conversation. After lunch, hear the authors describe their journeys to publication. Keynote speaker will be Willingboro native Jeff Gammage, Philadelphia Inquirer reporter and author of China Ghosts. Books will be available for purchase and signing.

 

Program: Library Lock-In

Grades: 7-12

Registration: Begins Mar. 28

Teens, celebrate National Library Week with an overnight party at the library!  Join your friends to watch movies, play games, and have a great time while the library is closed!  Registration is limited to 25 teens, so sign up early!

 

Program: Recycled Jewelry Making Workshop

Day, Date & Time: Mon., Apr. 14, 6:30 p.m.

Registration: Begins Mar. 31

Do you have old baubles or broken jewelry that could be transformed into beautiful jewelry pieces?  Bring them to the library and learn how to make jewelry treasures from your trash.

 

Program: Try It, You Might Like It! Celebrating Diversity

Registration: Not required

Come sample foods from around the world. Bring the whole family.

 

Program: Poetry Reading, featuring Christopher Bursk with Alfred Encarnacion

Day, Date & Time: Sun., Apr. 20, 2-4:30 p.m.

Registration: Not required

Christopher Bursk, an award-winning poet and professor of English at Bucks County Community College, will read a selection of his work, followed by the library's own Alfred Encarnacion. After the featured readers, an open-mic reading will be held for local poets to share their poetry with the audience. A sign up sheet for the open-mic session will be available at the beginning of the program.
