African American Read In Chain

 

aframreadinchain073edit.jpgCelebrate African American literary creativity at Willingboro Public Library with the African American Read In Chain on Sun., Feb. 1 at 2 p.m. Members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority will share their favorite readings with the public in this free program for all ages. Refreshments will be served. No registration is required.

The African American Read In Chain was founded by the National Council of Teachers of English in 1990. Since then over a million participants have read aloud from their favorite black authors in civic, church, and educational groups on the first Sunday and Monday of February, Black History Month.
