Customer Appreciation Week, Nov. 6-11

We love our customers! Surprises and treats all week for library users. All prizes are gifts and donations, courtesy of local merchants and vendors.

Meet the Children’s Author: Nicole Smith

Sat., Nov.18, 3 pm. Meet Willingboro Public Library’s own Nicole Smith, the author of many empowering books for children. Books will be available for signing/purchase and light refreshments will be served.

Teen Programs

Cover2Cover High School Book Club

Mon., Nov. 20, 2:15 pm. Get together with friends and talk about the latest great reads for teens – light refreshment will be served.  This program will be held in the Willingboro High School’s MVP Room; all area high school students are welcome to attend.

Wed., Nov. 8, 10:30 am. Come share your good reads, or just find out what to read - we can’t keep a good book to ourselves. No registration required and brunch served.

Wed., Nov. 8, 1:30 pm. Get information for living with Parkinson’s disease from experts, with updates from the Burlington County Friends of PD. Sign up any time at the Reference Desk.

Online Businesses and New Jersey Tax

Wed., Nov. 8, 4:30 pm.  Join the New Jersey Division of Taxation and learn about the taxability of products and services, sales inside and outside of New Jersey and the 411 on shipping products.  Sign up at the Reference Desk starting Oct. 25.

Sat., Nov. 11, 1 pm.  Willingboro resident, Dr. Arlene Kearns Dowdy will discuss and sign her book, Tales of Eastwood: Mysterious Whispers and Forgotten Customs. Light refreshments will be served.

Tues., Nov. 14, 6:30 pm. Take advantage of the library’s subscription to Ancestry.com to explore your family history.  Register at the Reference Desk any time.                                                                 

Qigong for Everyone

Thurs., Nov. 16, noon. Master Kim of the National Karate Institute in Moorestown will lead us in gentle yet vigorous exercise, and share his knowledge of traditional Chinese medicine. Register at the Reference Desk any time.

30 Minute Meditation

Thurs., Nov. 16, 1 pm. Yoga therapist and Willingboro Public Library librarian Linda Cope will introduce us to the pleasures and benefits of meditation. Everyone is welcome, register at the Reference Desk any time.

Free Blood Pressure and Blood Sugar Screening

Mon., Nov. 27, 10:30 am - 12:30 pm

Nurse Peggy from Lourdes Medical Center will be at the Willingboro Public Library for two hours of free blood pressure and blood sugar screening. Registration is not required.

Scrap-Booking!

Mon., Nov. 27, 6:30 pm. Learn to preserve old and new photos, be creative and produce a keepsake that shows off your style! Just bring your photos, scrapbooks and let’s have fun and refreshments.
