    jamilburton“The Beauty in Color,” an exhibit of paintings in a variety of media will be hung and displayed at Willingboro Public Library from July 3-28. Meet the artist Jamil Burton on Sat., July 8 at 2 p.m. This free event is open to the public. No registration is required and refreshments will be served.
    Jamil Burton was born in Newark, NJ and raised in New Jersey and North Carolina. He trained in fine art and illustration at several institutions, including Savannah Art & Design. “I explain my themes as family, love, society, along with political and religious issues,” he says. “My artwork paints a picture of how I see life, culture, and my world. “
    africaWillingboro Public Library will hold its fourth annual African Cultural Festival on Sat., Aug. 6 from 12-4 p.m. The festival will feature the Tajeva African Fusion Dance Group, a Ghanaian fashion show and portrayals of great Africans from history by local young people. African films will be screened, food and craft vendors will sell their wares and face painting for kids will be available. This will save tax dollars! Please see the circulation/front desk to give them this information. Don't worry, if you don't have email we will still mail your notices.
